The first 24+ hours on our journey to Spain was exhausting – beginning with a late British Airways flight out of Portland, missing our connection in London, waiting six hours at Heathrow for a new connection, then arriving in Madrid after midnight.
Since we had missed our train from Madrid to Cordoba, why not stay up until the earliest train the next morning?
We followed a local’s recommendation to taxi to the popular 24-hour restaurant called RedBar, then we return to the train station in time to catch the earliest 7:30 a.m. train south to Cordoba.
It took us 2+ days to fully recover from our initial 24 hours of sleeplessness on our journey.
Aye Yei Yei!
